When forming the first 4 tables, Florence Terry Griswold saw the convenience of grouping them, which is why she formed the Texas State Association, with the first Tables (San Antonio, Laredo, El Paso and Austin) to serve as a link and contact between them and those that are formed in the future.

On February 22, 1922, the first State Convention of the Pan American Round Tables was held in the “Rose Room” of the Gunter Hotel in San Antonio (Texas), attended by the 4 existing Round Tables.

With the growth of Mesas both in the United States and beyond the borders, Florence Terry Griswold thought of an Institution at the level of the Americas, whose concern after her death was made a reality by Mrs. Katherine J. Stone Robinson.

The first Convention held in October 1944 in Mexico, with the participation of all the existing Round Tables, was the beginning and creation of the Alliance of Pan American Round Tables, the name that the organization bears today. Likewise, the first Board of Directors was elected, made up of Ms. Katherine J. Stone as the first General Director.

During the Convention Board of Directors in 1967, the MRP. from Managua presented a presentation to elect a Partner or Official who distinguished herself in her Pan-American career and whose attitudes were consistent with her Pan-American and personal work.

This appointment, called "Pan American Woman", was made annually until 1976, when it was agreed that it would be for a period of two years.
