With heartfelt love and friendship, I extend my warmest greetings to all my Pan-American sisters who honored me with the position of Director General of the Alliance at the XXXVIII Convention held in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It will never be redundant to reflect, through thought and action, on our shared history, for it shapes our identity. It is a way for us to communicate with the world, knowing who we are, what we yearn for, and where we are going. As ambassadors of peace and friendship, we will all give our best to achieve the goals set forth by our founder 108 years ago in San Antonio, Texas.
Today, embracing you in a strong and lasting hug, I thank you as Director General, confident that we will work together to unite our criteria and goals, and that we will achieve everything with the unwavering will of one who "loves well and endures." May God bless our actions and may the Banner of Peace and our motto, "One for all and all for one," fly high.
