HONDURAS REPORT
This report presents the results of the Honduran elections of November 30, in which the National Electoral Council (CNE) declared Nasry Asfura the winner. It describes the positions of the main political parties, the political context marked by the figure of Manuel Zelaya and his influence on the opposition, and mentions internal criticisms regarding the continuity of former leaders. It also notes the situation in Nicaragua under the government of Daniel Ortega.
VENEZUELA REPORT
The OAS issued a statement regarding the alleged extradition of Nicolás Maduro, noting that the General Assembly convened in an extraordinary session to assess the situation. The statement also indicated that, according to Secretary General Albert Ramdin's presentation, the OAS emphasized the need to maintain peace and stability while respecting citizens' rights, stressing that they are the true holders of power.
REPORT ON THE MEETING IN CORDOBA
The OAS is promoting in Córdoba, Argentina the twenty-second exchange meeting for competitiveness, economic development, innovation and entrepreneurship in the region, with the attendance of 50 leaders with the idea of developing trade exchange policies, through bilateral or multilateral agreements that favor regional trade with a lower tax burden.

At a meeting hosted by the Organization of American States in Spain, 18 professionals from 12 countries met within the framework of combating drug trafficking.
REPORT ON THE MEETING IN BOGOTA
At the Fifth Forum on Cybersecurity and Cyber Defense held in Bogotá on November 18 and 19, the OAS reported on modernization in the use of Cybernetics for the instruction of both national and continental defense policies.
REPORT ON MEETING IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The OAS is forming agreements with the judicial authorities of the Dominican Republic so that the Caribbean country incorporates judicial practices aimed at strengthening human rights, especially electoral rights, and receiving challenges related to peaceful elections as well as electoral campaigns, limiting the interventions of security forces only to the development of free elections.
HEROINE WOMEN IN THE INDEPENDENCE STRUGGLES
The OAS accepted the request of the Andean University Simón Bolívar UASB to hold a tribute at its Washington headquarters to a heroine such as Juana Azurduy de Padilla [Chuquisaca Upper Peru 1780] a great fighter and of enormous courage who had the rank of General of the Army.
SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES FIRST SEMESTER
The Committee reports: The OAS carried out important activities this semester: electoral missions in Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, and Suriname; support for peace processes in Colombia and Saint Kitts and Nevis; an agreement with Spain for social programs; judicial training in Brazil; and the historic election of Laura Gil as Assistant Secretary General. Sensitive issues such as detentions in Venezuela and Argentina were also addressed, and the Ordinary General Assembly was held in Antigua and Barbuda.
COMMUNICATION 04-2025
During the 55th session of the OAS in Antigua and Barbuda, key agreements from the previous meeting in Paraguay were reviewed: a commitment to strengthening regional democracy in the face of tensions in Bolivia, support for transparent electoral processes, the fight against drug trafficking, and monitoring of the situation in Nicaragua. New legal authorities were elected, and it was confirmed that the 2025 session will focus on “resilient and inclusive economies.” States, observers, and civil society organizations will participate with voice but without vote. The importance of education and values was emphasized.

It announces the historic appointment of Colombia's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Laura Gil, as Assistant Secretary General of the OAS, the first woman to hold this position since the organization's founding in 1889.

Announcement regarding the IV regional meeting "dialogue of women leaders migrants, refugees and returnees in Latin America and the Caribbean", to be held in person from September 3 to 5, 2025 in Lima, Peru.
COMMUNICATION 01-2025
The statement announces the election of Albert Ramdin, Foreign Minister of Suriname, as Secretary General of the OAS (2025-2030), succeeding Luis Almagro after two terms. It outlines the challenges he will face, including illegal immigration, extreme poverty in Suriname, and the exodus of citizens to the Netherlands.
