Pan-American Women

In 1966, during the 10th Convention of the Alliance of Pan American Round Tables in San Antonio, Texas, a proposal was presented to the Assembly to elect annually a woman to bear the honorary title of "Pan American Woman" as an expression of recognition and encouragement for the work carried out by a member of a Pan American Round Table throughout her institutional life. For this purpose, a Permanent Committee was created with its corresponding regulations. This title is for life and stipulates that she must be honored at public events.

To all the Pan-American Women who had the privilege of being so, the Alliance of Pan-American Round Tables pays special recognition for having been and continuing to be an example for every Pan-Americanist.
