The Committees are working groups through which the Alliance of Pan American Round Tables (AMRP) coordinates, organizes and keeps its members informed concerning different aspects related with the cultural and organizational activity that the movement engages in. Additionally, they plan and develop strategic projects to improve the movement's line of action among which the contribution to education and formation of the citizens of the American continent and the cultural interchange through women are emphasized.

 Committee Objectives

    1. Unite the Board and members of different countries to share information regarding their area of activity and project it to the Alliance to open interchange channels.

    2. Offer a route for actualization of specific topics.

   3. Undertake descriptive studies of different areas of action for the betterment of the operative lines of the AMRP.

The Director General, with the advice and consent of the Board, shall appoint the Chairpersons and members of the Committees, with the exception of the Nominations Committee, which shall be elected at the annual meeting of the Board in office.

Executive Committee : This Committee is presided by the Director General and is composed by the Associate Director General, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Official Translator and the Ex-officio Director General. The Committee functions as Permanent Secretariat between meetings of the Board of Directors.

Extension Committee : Is presided by the Alliance Associate Director General and is made up by the Zone Directors; oversees the creation, foundation and development of new Pan American Round Tables.

Editorial Committee : Has the responsibility of compiling the necessary material for the preparation of special Alliance publications. It is made up by a representative from each Zone

Resolutions Committee : Is composed of at least three (3) members. It receives and presents to the Convention only those resolutions that do not affect the Constitutions and By-laws of the Alliance.

World Wide Web and Information Committee : Serves as a body of information and immediate dissemination in the organization. It is composed of one representative from each Zone.

Finance Committee : Prepares a budget after each Biennial Convention, which must be approved by the Board during its annual regular meeting and which will be applicable in the following biennium. It will be in charge of facilitating and auditing the Treasurer's work. It is composed of at least two (2) representatives from Tables near the Alliance Treasurer.

Nominations Committee : Is made up by a member from each Zone, elected by the Board during the annual regular meeting from a number of sixteen (16) proposed names. It presents a slate of candidates during the Biennial Convention.

Pan American Woman Committee : It is composed by a member from each Zone and is charged with selecting three (3) finalists among the candidates presented by the Tables. The Committee will select from among these three candidates, the one who has obtained the greatest number of votes within the Committee, awarding her the title "Pan American Woman", which shall be for life, specifying only the year in which she was selected.

Directory Committee : This Committee is made up of two (2) members who may be from the same Table and by the Zone Directors. It prepares a directory of the Alliance that is presented during the annual regular meeting of the Alliance Board and a simple update of the information contained therein during the Biennial Convention.

Revisions Committee : Is composed of at least five (5) members, among them, the Alliance Parliamentarian. Its objective is to study and recommend, if needed, proposals to amend the Alliance Constitution and/or By-laws; inform the Board and all the affiliated Tables of the amendments proposed that affect said Constitution and By-laws which must be received by this Committee at least ninety (90) days prior to the Biannual Convention.

Protocol Committee : It is made up by a member representative from each Alliance Zone. Executes public relations functions at the continental level and strives to comply with etiquette rules, according to the Protocol Guide (approved in Guadalajara, 1988 and amplified in Miami, 1994).

Archives Committee : Is composed by members of the Table of Austin, Texas, United States of America. It is in charge of safekeeping, cataloguing and maintaining official materials belonging to the Alliance which are housed in the Nettie Lee Benson Library of the Institute of Latin American Studies of the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

Youth Groups Committee : It is made up by a representative from each Zone of the Alliance. It implements the creation and development of the Pan American Youth Groups, which have as its objective, to encourage the principles of the Pan American movement among the youth of America. OAS Liaison Committee : This Committee is made up by a member from each Zone and by two members from the Washington, D. C. Table. Its function is to channel exclusively all communication between the Alliance and the OAS and participate in the activities that concern the civil society, either sending contributions in writing or attending hemispheric meetings.
